Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MileTrack mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Asset Track Sp. z o.o. ("we", "us", "our").
MileTrack is currently offered as a beta product. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service description
MileTrack is a local-first mileage tracking app that automatically detects trips, helps classify them, and generates export-ready mileage reports for the country profiles currently supported in the app.
The Service currently includes:
- Automatic trip detection and manual trip entry
- Trip classification into business, commute, and private
- Trip review, edit, split, merge, and export tools
- Country-specific profiles currently covering US, UK, DE, FR, IT, NL, PL, SE, NO, FI, IE, ES, DK, CA, AU
- PDF, CSV, and XLSX exports built from local report snapshots
2. Beta scope and availability
- iOS is the primary platform in the current Apple-first beta
- Android support may arrive later and can remain limited during beta
- The Service is currently free to use and may change during beta
- We may add, remove, or modify features while the product is being validated
- The Service may contain bugs, incomplete features, or temporary limitations
3. Eligibility and acceptable use
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
- You may not use the Service for unlawful activity or to create fraudulent mileage claims
- You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service
- You may not scrape or automate access to the website or app beyond intended usage
4. Local data, permissions, and Apple services
MileTrack is designed so trip history, saved places, vehicles, reports, and settings stay on your device by default. The app still requires certain device permissions to work correctly, including location access for trip detection.
On iPhone, explicit address lookup, reverse geocoding, and native map rendering can contact Apple mapping services in real time. Optional iCloud backup can also synchronize data through your Apple account if you enable it.
You can disable permissions, pause tracking, or disable optional telemetry and iCloud backup through device or in-app controls, but doing so may limit automatic trip detection or backup features.
5. Your data and responsibility
You retain ownership of the mileage records, settings, and reports you create with the Service. You are responsible for reviewing your records before using them for tax, reimbursement, or compliance purposes.
MileTrack provides tools to support mileage recordkeeping, but the Service does not constitute tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult a qualified professional where necessary.
6. Exports and third-party tools
The Service can generate PDF, CSV, and XLSX exports designed for external review and archival. We do not guarantee compatibility with every accounting or filing workflow.
- Exports or shares happen only when you explicitly initiate them
- Third-party tools you use after export are governed by their own terms and privacy policies
- We are not responsible for the availability or security of third-party services you choose to use
7. Accuracy and limitations
- Trip detection depends on device hardware, permissions, battery policy, and operating system behavior
- Automatic classifications are heuristic and may require review or correction
- Distance calculations and map/address results may differ from odometer readings or other services
- You are responsible for confirming your final records before submission or reimbursement
8. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Beta builds, website components, support channels, Apple services, and optional analytics providers can all experience outages or degraded performance.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Asset Track Sp. z o.o. and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and related laws.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every filing workflow
- We are not liable for inaccurate tax filings, missed deductions, rejected claims, or penalties caused by unreviewed or incorrect records
- Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or zero while the Service remains free
11. Suspension, termination, and deletion
- You may stop using the Service at any time
- You may delete local app data through in-app controls or by removing the app and related backups
- We may limit or end beta access if necessary for security, abuse prevention, or product changes
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the beta evolves. If changes materially affect your use of the Service, we will update the website and, where appropriate, the in-app references.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Warsaw, Poland, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
